My heart is breaking.....

.....today. Remy our cat of 17 years passed away tonight. Edward and I are numb and I am a blubbering mess. She was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous tumour, recently. We all spent the day together on the patio trying to enjoy the sunny summer day listening to the birds and to the leaves fluttering in the wind. It was so hard to say goodbye to this beautiful little soul. We will miss her so much. I know we were relieving her of pain but I felt selfish in not wanting her to go. My heart is breaking. She is pain free now and in a better place; may the doves show her the way and the angels look after her. I will miss her! We will miss her...
