So Much Love and Energy

My niece and daughter spent the day making their "Nana" a birthday cake today. The plan... A lemon cake with lemon glaze and marshmallow fondant decor. "L" had her first lesson working with fondant....and her cousin was very patient:) A little too sticky and tricky for "L", who decided that she would wait till the fondant was ready to make into decorations. The glaze turned out super tasty as I kept licking the bowl before cleaning it...and in the end this was the final result. A beautiful birthday cake that took about 4-5 hours in total to make. Notice the beautiful fondant roses and tiny leaves....all made by hand.
I was so proud of them for creating such a special gift for their Nana.
