High Flyers

It was a beautiful blue sky day and while there was a real chill in the air there was a warmth in the sun which kept the temperature just above freezing point.

No snow overnight and none fell during the day and with rain forecast for tomorrow perhaps it will have disappeared by Monday.

It was the birds that caught my eye today, there were lots of high flyers.  Herring gulls in the main image mostly with some black-headed gulls in the mix too.
