It's behind you!

I wandered into our kitchen earlier and Emma said: "Hey look! There's a weird bird outside". I turned around to look out the sitting room window and this Kestrel was perched on our gazebo frame.
Just so happened I had my Lumix in my hand, as I'd just taken a photo of something else. So fired off about 5 shots from a distance through the glass using the zoom. It flew away just after taking the last photo.

I chose the best and then enhanced it in The Gimp. I've only ever seen a Kestrel in our garden once before, years ago. It had just killed a Turtle Dove. Generally you tend to see them hovering above the surrounding fields.
