Closer to the Stars

Now we are in Nauchny, a little urban area near Bakhchisarai where the Crimea Astrophysical Observatory is based. It is a wonderful place far away from the tourist season, the crowded beach....

There are two little lakes up here - on for the cowes and the fishers, one for all others.... In the morning I am going on the little market again for milk and quark, from 9 a.m. you can buy bread in on of the three groceries.

The weather is fine, although it's really not hot up here (574 m). Therefore we can what the stars at night.... some are falling... and bats and here owls.
