Eyemouth

We headed for the coast today, more than an hour away from where we are staying in Selkirk.
We first stopped at Eyemouth, a fishing port north of Berwick on Tweed. Normous fed seals in the harbour and we spent a long time watching salvage efforts on a Chinese junk that had sunk in the harbour and was visibly leaking diesel into the water. The atmosphere amongst the fishermen was not good, fishing hasn't got going this season because of the late spring.
From Eyemouth we went north to the much smaller harbour at St Abbs. Very picturesque and noisy with seagulls.
It was a long drive but it stayed dry - we have been very lucky with the weather - so far!
