The Phoenix Rises

Donnie Munro plays Aberdour.

You don't really expect a tear to escape when in a marquee full of people.
The Aberdour festival did not disappoint.

We enjoyed a full evening listening to old and new songs.

I was transported back in time to my first flat sharing with Sheena Rae and Anne Urquhart. Sheena's Runrig album "Play Gaelic" was alive in my head as Donnie sung his heart out.
Sheena died at the age of 23. The church in Strathpeffer was overflowing and it still remains the most emotional funeral I have ever attended, (and that is saying a lot).

That said, the company and joy, despite a very poorly Dennis at our table, we all gained a night of Scottish entertainment.

Our hearts go out to Dennis and wish him strength.
