Where do old lawn mowers go ?

Some of them go to this lawn mower repair shop in North Seattle. For years, Tandy and I have driven past this shop, and it always looks like the same old pile of lawnmowers. Today, I decided to stop and get the story.

The owner tells me that actually, the pile rotates about every 60 - 90 days on average. This shop restores the mowers that they take in on trade, and then the mowers that are not suitable for restoration are sent off to the scrap metal dealer.
