Hipposandals & Montesquieu

Neither of those words in the title are made up.

Hipposandals were the Roman version of horseshoes.  But if you are happier imagining a hippo wearing sandals and heading to the beach, knock your yourself out.  Pretty sure ChatGPT could knock up a picture of that for you.

Montesquieu was an 18th century political philosopher - never heard of him before today - but he wrote extensively on the separation of powers (the legislative branch makes the laws, the executive branch carries them out and the judicial branch evaluates them).
