Downpour

I did the criminally stupid thing of going out at lunchtime without any rainwear and this was the result. I was caught in a potent and vicious downpour accompanied by copious amounts of thunder and lightning.

This was the view from where I sought shelter, on one of the side lanes off Rose Street in Edinburgh. The rain was not taking time to land on the soggy ground.

What seemed like a brief respite from the rain turnout out to be a tease. As I got closer to getting back to work the rain came on again - even heavier than in this blip.

I was completely soaked through when I got back to work. Thankfully, I did have a change of clothes.....
