Butterfly Bond

A very hot day brought the butterflies out in strength, with the return of the Peacocks, the first Commas since May and my first Holly Blue of the year being the highlights. These paired Small Whites provided the photographic highlight though.

On the moor, as the Ringlets are fading, the fresh Gatekeepers are emerging, and sometimes you can see the two side by side.

One more day at work before a summer break. Of course the rain is forecast to return to make my two weeks off more enjoyable.
