Blipping Forty

Honey Bee

We have a large and very beautiful Budlea in our garden and this year, more than any other I can remember, there seems to be so many butterfly and insect activity around it. This afternoon I spent a while taking a number of shots of this activity and was pleased with some of the tortoiseshell butterfly shots which I captured. I blipped one of these a few days ago and so instead, decided to post this shot of the honeybee which is such a rare thing these days. I'm looking forward to watching the Horizon programme tonighton BBC2 about the honey bee and the reason for it's decline.
