Day 7 of the Dales High Way, from Dent t0 Sedburgh. This was practically a rest day, with just 12 Km to walk. The weather was ideal, warm without the humidity of previous days.

Unlike the more popular Dales Way, which also passes through Dent and Sedburgh, our route took as over Longstone Fell. We sat near the top for a couple of hours, enjoying the view and reading. It made me think that perhaps we don't enjoy the hills as we should. 90% of the population never climbs them, 9% (including myself and Mrs P) walk up and down them with just short stops, and just a few sit up there to savour them.

This view was taken on the way down to Sedburgh, with the Howgill Fells in the distance. We go over them tomorrow.
