Now I knew this place was supposed to be good but why wasn't I told how good? It's flippin brilliant.
A pretty well perfect first day on holiday. Sat around the pool and read a book. Had a siesta and then hopped in a taxi to the old town to find dinner.
The old town is stunning with town walls and a harbour on the river. Lovely square, fascinating buildings and the bridge made by Eiffel before he went all silly building towers. And across the river the port lodges with signs at rooftop level.
Here is the bridge and the Calem lodge with heaven knows what amazing building on the top.
Trip Advisor didn't let us down. The "A Grade" was as its name predicts great. Totally unpretentious, great local food and friendly.
Now back at the Pousada contemplating tomorrow.
