Cowes Week 2013

In what the commentators were calling champagne sailing conditions Cowes Week 2013 got under way with an impressive number of racing yachts filling the horizon from East to West.

A 16-22 knott wind blowing down the Solent together with occasional stronger gusts provided some exciting racing for the hundreds of competitors and spectators lining the shore.

During the afternoon we were treated to the magnificent sight of multi coloured spinnakers speeding towards us as the competiors battled towards the finish line.

I have posted some more shots in my Blipfolio
