Huntsman Spider

I am petrified of spiders. This afternoon when I lit the stove, this fellow came crawling out after 10 minutes or so. Not sure where he/she crawled out from but I suspect it was on one of the logs I put on the fire. That means there was a very good chance it could have crawled on me unnoticed. That thought made me feel a bit queasy.

10 minutes later the spider was gone. No doubt the outside of the stove was starting to warm up too.

I will be checking the wood very carefully in future before I pick it up.
