In the shed

Another calf was born overnight, bringing our total now to six. Apart from the one born last night, the others were brought into the cowshed and milked this morning. Their calves came with them, as it would be so much harder getting the cows into the shed if their calves weren't there with their mums.

The milking plant is so much better than our old plant - it's a lot quieter when running, and having automatic cup removers makes the job a whole lot easier. That's new technology for you!

It is a wet day here, although not cold.
