Who cares about a little cloud?..

...and light precipitation.

Another day, another opportunity to avoid housework. Anne and I headed East to avoid the worst of the weather, although it was warm it was pretty windy and mostly overcast at Bernwood Forest near Oxford. In spite of this, experience has taught us that you can still find butterflies if you're stubborn enough.

20 species and several butterfly botherers were spotted. Todays highlight was spotting some Purple Hairstreaks. With the butterflies perched high in the trees I resorted to lying down on a forest path to save my neck. I'm perfectly normal, me.

This is a Gatekeeper.
