A day at the Festival

It was Festival fever today as Ethan and I joined his pals Lucinda, Anna and Mia and their Mummies (and 1 Daddy!) for a day at the Edinburgh Festival!

We all got the train in - the 4 kids sat together and chatted away happily together. We then got taxis up to Udderbelly where we went to see Tiddler and other Tales. I've been reading Tiddler to Ethan as one of his bedtime stories for the past few weeks and he LOVES it. He didn't know the other stories in the show so Tiddler was clearly his favourite part of it, but it was a very good show - very cleverly done.

We then headed along to the BBC area as there was lots of free kids stuff going on. Ethan had his face painted, the kids joined in with the Ratamouse workshops, we had a bite to eat and then managed to get free tickets to the main Rastamouse show too. It was fab and the kids (mainly) sat on beanbags at the front, although there was a lot of running back and forwards to the stands where the grownups were from Ethan and Lucinda (mainly to get more snacks from us). Poor Anna though was worn out from the heat and fell asleep so missed most of the show!

Then the train back to Livingston, I had to take Ethan straight over to the Foreveryoungs then go back, pick up hubbie, and go back into Edinburgh where we had tickets for a show for us too! A meal in TGI Fridays followed before we went home - talk about an exhausting but fun day!
