NOW I know why...

...some Sarracenias wear hats, they obviously live in damper climes.

I went out to collect the milk from the corner of the house at about 09:00, saw the rain gauge on its side where it had lain since I made the silage mowed the lawns. Set it upright, where, up to press we've had a mere 20mm (0.8") of rain and it's still at it now 16:30(ish).
Consequently I've only strayed over the doorstep long enough to grovel beside the resident insectivore for a while and have a quick crack with the Greenhouse residents.

Defffinitely no focus stacking on this one.

Can't tell if the victim was caught legally, or fell in and drowneded.

Today's comical thought... If them over there pronounce herb as "Erb", and as one of them pointed out recently there are many silent "H"s in English, what do they do about Heather, Heinous, etc.? The latter in particular.
