John and David were looking at the ridiculously expensive yachts moored in the bay, and observing that however big your boat is, someone will have a bigger one. Rumour has it that Simon Cowell has hired a yacht around here for $450,000 a week - thankfully we didn't bump into the high-waisted trousered one.

We stood outside the Carlton Hotel and recalled the stereotypical 80s video Elton John did for I'm Still Standing - I can't post a link on the iPad, which I think is a blessing.

Did I mention it's bloody hot????

Ps off to Monte Carlo tomorrow, where I suspect the boats will be even bigger.
