Through a glass darkly...

Work in progress

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford upon Avon is being refurbished - pretty much ripped apart and rebuilt - and due for reopening in 2010. This is the Swan Theatre, which is the smaller auditorium attached to the main theatre space, looking from the theatre gardens that provide a walk along the River Avon. It is a haven for local yoof to inbibe and practice typical ungodly excesses and, sadly, for lots of people of all ages, it seems, to drop litter and let their dogs foul the area. It would never happen in North Korea. Perhas National Service is the answer. Seems I'm all set for the time when I can wave a walking stick at all and sundry and say things like "I'm 84, you know!"...
