Portland

We had seen on the news that the planets were in a phase of alignment so thought we would take a short trip up to Portland Heights to see if we could identify the alignment.  Short answer is no.  We did try using an app on the phone but not sure it showed what we saw.  I think we were able to identify Venus and Saturn but not so they could be included in an image.

I'll add as a memory that I dis see Saturn once when our then neighbours son was visiting with his nightscope thing to see the neowise comet and gave us the opportunity of looking through the scope at both the comet and at Saturn.  Wow that blew my mind. The scope was powerful enough to see Saturns rings! What I sight to see those in real life with my very own eyes.
