Perfect place to play

It makes me want to be ten again, in shorts and bare feet, excited by the challenge of exploring the tree and crossing the river without falling in. When I was about ten, I climbed a tree with a boy, and as we stood together on a branch several feet above the ground, I lost my balance and found myself staring down at a thicket of nettles. But the boy grabbed the back of my trousers and saved me. 49 years later, I'm still grateful to him. (God, am I really that old?)
