Thistles at Inverewe

We're saving our energies for a big cycle ride across the Isle of Lewis tomorrow, so instead of exerting ourselves today we drove to Poolewe for a wander around Inverewe Garden.

There was so much to photograph in the garden, including an amazing variety of tree bark. In the end I decided to post this thistle because (a) it's my favourite colour and (b) it matches Sunday's butterfly.

Exercise today - a gentle 1.5 hour walk around Inverewe Garden.
