I held my children a little closer before they set off for school today.

Last night, around the same time as I was sat safely at my desk posting the day’s blip, just across the other side of town a car was crashing through a metal fence, which surrounds the astro turf at Kendal Rugby Club, injuring an 8-year old girl and killing another aged 10.

Shocking. Awful. Tragic. Just a few adjectives that still do not come close to describing the events of those horrible few seconds. I can not even begin to imagine what the families of those affected must be going through right now, but I think it would be fair to say that everyone’s hearts and thoughts (probably some prayers too) are with the families of those involved.
