Quietly

A child-free house this morning, my girls having had a sleepover at a 'secret seaside location' (ie at our pals in Portobello). Still woke up early tho' and so went for a big swim before breakfast and then had a more leisurely morning before heading to pick them up over lunchtime. Not surprisingly the afternoon was a bit of a lazy one around the house.

Went to the Traverse in the evening to see two plays. The first one, Long Live The Little Knife, absolutely flew by, super quick-fire narrative and dialogue, great staging, funny and smart. The second one, Quietly, was a more sedate affair but incredibly gripping with powerful writing and great performances from the two leads. Think it may actually be hard to beat over the next couple of weeks as a piece of theatre. Really, really good.

Some music. Peaceful.
