Me And Karma Vibe Like That

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

So yesterday I got a message out of the blue from a company that I used to work with when I was part of Ellie's team. 

One of the developers saw that I was looking for work and recommended me. And they've got a 6 month contract going in Wellington. I had a really nice chat with one of their recruitment staff today. Long story short, another interview next week. 

We'll see. 

But the thing that made me so happy was that it was WORK KARMA!

It was so lovely that Julie The Developer remembered me three years later and put in a word. 

And THEN.

I got a call from an agency. The agent says she's got a few BA jobs coming up and then she said, "I must confess, I think I know you...."

It turns out that she used to work at Kāinga Ora and knows a lot of the same people as me.

She reeled off a list of names of people who'd been saying nice things about me, including Losi and AJ!

MORE work-karma!

Honestly, after a week of stressing about the lack of jobs, I could have cried. I sent Ellie a text, asking her to thank AJ for me. 

"It just makes me so happy inside to know I have friends to help me!" I texted.  

I'M GOING TO BURST INTO A DISNEYYYYY SOONNNNGGGGGGG

I added. 

I felt like I was walking on air. I decided to text Ellie again. 

"Seriously... my head is buzzing right now.... and I have to host a meeting in 5 minutes," I said. 

"Shit. Pull yourself together man," I went on, chiding myself.

There has been more good work-news. A third agency is also working on a position for me. No work karma involved this time. But that's ok. 

Anyway. I don't know if any of this will work out, or when I'll be in work. 

But as for today, it's....

p.s. We went to feed Lulu the cat over at Tiger and Loulou's. And they have KNITTED DUCKS on the stairs! As if my day couldn't get any better!
