Valley of the Rocks

We left Ilfracombe this morning to amble our way back home. We decided to take a meander around part of the 21 mile drive centred on Lynton and Lynmouth. Described variously as "little Switzerland" and "not for the faint hearted", we swallowed a brave pill and took the plunge. The route included some dramatic inclines (1 in 4) and fabulous vistas. We stopped in the Valley of the Rocks to get some air and the view (as illustrated in today's blip).

Turning homeward an accident on the M5 and an A road diversion were not part of the plan but we were in good spirits after a great week of birthday celebration and relaxation. Hard to believe we've got to go and do some real work tomorrow.

Thank you for all the kind comments, stars and favourites on yesterday's shot. It was a bit of an experiment so pleased you liked it. Also apologies for the lack of commenting. We will be back in the groove again soon.
