Hawkdun Range Snow Tussocks

Have we ever had an adventure today, GingerNan and I. We had thought that driving that mud track to Lake Emily was rough going, but in truth it was just practice, for today! River fords through shingle banks, down a bank and along a washed out river bed and up another bank - and we thought we were out. There was more to come!

But, all along the way, from Wedderburn to St. Bathans, then to the Falls Dam and the Hawkdun Range, and along the Home Hills Run Road, past the most stunning countryside in New Zealand. What a day we've had - and we're still smiling. We did give each other a high 5 at the end though, stoked about our day and relieved that the car was in one piece!
