Spring Star

These tiny flowers are Spring Stars Ipheion uniflorum - an early spring flowering bulb that has naturalised in one corner of our garden. When they come out Spring is definitely on the way.

It is, apparently, a native of Argentina, but seen in many other parts of the world, most likely as a garden escapee. It's a relative of the allium.

The triffid echium is in flower, and haunted by bees, but do you think I could get a decent shot? No, I could not. They were flying around like demented beeings, so will have to wait for another day.

Not much else to talk about really - punishing training session on the rower, so it's an early dinner, followed by an early night, I guess.
