Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 344

The fog is slowly burning off. The man and his Westie are enjoying the peace and quiet of Porty Beach. This time last year this stone groyne was installed by contractors who were there for almost a month working on this sand stabilisation project. The island of Inchkeith floats on the flat calm waters of the Forth. Today we are off into the city for some Festival Fun. Yesterday we enjoyed our visit to North Berwick and bumped into this Celebrity filming on the harbour wall. On my run along the beach I met a very public spirited dog walker who made it her mission every morning to pick up at least 10 pieces of litter left behind by the inconsiderate. The world needs more people like this. She was especially perplexed by the beach users on hot days who walk away from the beach leaving their rugs and towels, kids buckets and spades as well as all their consumables wrappings and containers.
