Before the Rain

This is the latest time that I have put my blip up on Blipfoto. Our Camera Club had its AGM this evening and with all the preparation I had to do during the day I had no time to blip.
I did manage to get out with the dogs very late this morning. It was lovely and sun-shiny towards the south. Looking north to the Richmond Range was a different matter. There were no intensely blue mountains to be seen. They were covered with heavy clouds sweeping in from the north-west. The sky looked very threatening. I was very pleased at the prospect of some decent rain as it has been getting very dry here in Marlborough. Hopefully we will get a bit of a down-pour in the next few days.
We held our AGM in the Millennium Gallery here in Blenheim this evening. This is a wonderful venue particularly as there is an excellent photographic exhibition on display at the Gallery at the moment….
“Now & Then: enduring and developing themes in contemporary New Zealand photography”. This display traverses the past four decades of fine art photography in New Zealand. There was something there for everyone.
Organizing the meeting away from our usual venue was quite a feat but we have good people in our club and a great team spirit. It was a lot of work especially for some individuals but extremely worthwhile.
