I decided to stay at my daughter's last night instead of coming home. By the time we'd packed up, gone swimming again, had chips and been to the playpark, there just wasn't going to be time to get back to Swansea and then for me to drive back home in the light. Added to which, and more importantly, the grandchildren needed to be told well in advance that I'd be leaving, and the weekend had been rather too hectic for that.
So we had a quiet evening and I told the boys that I'd be going home after breakfast this morning, that I'd be gone when they got back from school.
In the event I stayed until almost lunchtime. My daughter had a nail in one of the tyres, stupid runflat BMW ones that a local garages don't keep in stock. I did some ironing for her and then, being unable to do anything useful, I left, calling at Tesco for fresh veg and petrol. I managed to get the car satnav to work, although it took me via the Heads of the Valleys road that they are still working on! Remind me to ignore the satnav next time and stick to the M4 and M50....
As soon as I got home I took photos of my old Dacia Sandero and WhatsApped them to my son to try and sell. I give you a collage of all the damage!
