Settle Railway Station

Pal Helen and I did the walk from Long Preston to Settle today in super sunshine. We hardly saw a soul till we approached the market town of Settle.

We had twenty minutes or so to wait for our return train so we sat on the beautifully well kept platform, with flowers tended by volunteer Eric, and chatted to the trolley lady (the Settle-Carlisle trolley service has won awards, unsurprisingly) and enjoyed the station and the wonderful view over this very pretty town nestled in the Dales. You can just about see the Chapel of Giggleswick School mid blip.

I also blipped the Station's Victorian Water Tower, lovingly restored.
