Mediterranean Sea Swimming.

As it was our first full day today, we decided to take it VERY easy! I walked to the nearest kiosk to pick up breakfast, which we ate on the balcony in the sun. Just the walk to the shops was tiring in the heat! An agent arrived later to check the apartment was OK, and pointed us in the direction of the main supermarket for shopping later in the week. Before we did any chores, though, we decided to head to the beach for a swim. We rented a couple of sunloungers and a parasol and lay in the heat like geckos, reading and dozing. The sea was lovely and warm, and we went for a swim to cool down before coming back to dry off in the sun for lunch. We'd spotted a nice-looking restaurant on our first day so we headed there and had grilled sea bass, sea bream and Greek salad - yum! Later, we walked to the supermarket and got some stuff for dinner... I admit I was a little bit grumpy on the way home - I'm not used to this heat!

When we got back we decided to have a dip in the pool, afterwhich I promptly fell asleep on a sunlounger! When I woke up, I made some tzatziki and pork meatballs for dinner, which we had with pita bread and feta - it turned out really well! After tea, we had a lovely beachfront walk, with the sunset creating some gorgeous colour layers in the sky.

(Apologies for the wonky skyline - M was holding the camera and the resulting picture isn't good enough quality to straighten and crop)!
