Little daughter on 'the big chair'

The Architect's Chair is an artwork by Colin Wilbourn, professional freelance artist and sculptor of stone, wood, metal. The chair is in Sunderland museum. The chair was originally commissioned in 1997 by John Lloyd from an architect firm Browne, Smith and Baker, in Newcastle, where it was based until now.

Colin, 55, who lives in Ashbrooke, said: “Because it was all to do with architects who build buildings, I wanted to use materials they would use to make buildings but making something on a more domestic scale.” The chair was donated to the museum when the firm closed down.

The hat is metal, the coat is stone and the chair is brick.
