Fields of Barley

We went for a walk today, starting at the Boat Inn on the Wye and climbing up to the farming landscape above the wooded valley.

We were following a walk from a rambling magazine that my Dad had given us. We took a slight short cut along public footpaths across these fields of ? barley. Three of the fields had very clear paths across them like this one- thank you nice farmer!

Things then deteriorated.......maybe a different farmer!

Still we made it back, along part of Offas Dyke, back down to the river side and the Boat Inn for a well earned pint after a 6.8 mile walk!
