Denis Law
Visited our daughter in Aberdeen today. Headed along the Deeside Line to Duthie Park and into the Park Café, now a firm favourite, and really enjoyed our teas and scones there. Their scones are highly recommended.
Walked round the park before going back to her house to do some chores. The park is becoming more colourful and springlike with each passing week and will look beautiful when it is in full bloom in April.
Took a detour on the way home to see Aberdeen’s latest tribute to footballer Denis Law, who you may remember from a blip I posted recently died a few months ago. He was a much loved Scottish international and ‘King of the Stretford End’ at Manchester United.
Australian urban street artist, KeTones6000 (aka Jerome Davenport) took just a few days to paint this/these murals. Amazing! They adorn two sides of a multi-storey block of flats on Printfield Walk close to where Denis grew up as a child.
Denis was a larger than life character and now he has two larger than life images of him on show in a place that was dear to his heart.
