Pictorial blethers

Alas, poor dolphin ...

Caught sight of this dead dolphin on the shore of Loch Striven and clambered down for a closer look. It was about 30" long, and can't have been dead for long - there was no smell, and it was still firm and glossy. The only slight apparent damage was the roughness of the skin around the nose, and two small, bloody punctures near its mouth.

Dunno what will happen to it - do carrion birds tidy up beaches?

And is it, in fact, a porpoise? (Adding this as an afterthought - "Alas, poor porpoise" is pleasingly alliterative)
