Seal beach
Left our holiday home early with a beautiful pink sunrise sky.
We took the long route out, heading to Christchurch via Nelson and Kaikoura.
We stopped for breakfast at Havelock - greenshell capital of New Zealand (not for breakfast thank you).
And then Kaikoura for a beach walk to see the many many fur seals. Mums lounging around whilst pups went off to play.
We stopped on the road outside K to see dolphins feeding out at sea. The tourists boats were getting the best views but we had a good show with our binoculars. A few even came in closer to the shore to perform - lots of leaping and spinning. An amazing sight.
Down at Christchurch we drove on through to Governors Bay and our Airbnb stop. A very quirky boatshed made in to a cute apartment with outside kitchen and short walk down the ramp to the sea!
