Ghosts of Culloden

This is inside the Culloden Battlefield visitor centre run by the National Trust for Scotland. What you see here is an interactive display that allows you to hear actors speak the thoughts and feelings of those involved in the battle. There is much to see here. The events leading up to the Jacobite uprising in 1745 through to the bloody end at Culloden on 16 April 1746.

This new centre officially opened in April 2008 with the battlefield itself returned to as close as possible to how it appeared in 1746.
