Thistle Down

Man's Love

All men can love,
Desperately...he can.
Age does not hinder,
God made the plan.

And the soft words that speak it,
He put on the tongue.
And a melody he gave it,
That It might be sung.

God put it in the heart,
That sweet sentiment might rise.
That the sweet and the lovely,
Might show up in the eyes.

God made it all precious,
The more treasured to hold.
Than the set of rare rubies,
And a portion of gold.

And those who seek after,
May unloose their charms.
As they fill their containers,
And open their arms.
