Stonechat
Today’s bird is a stonechat. Stonechats are not known for their chat but their name derives from the sharp sound they utter that sounds like two stones being tapped together! Description copied from my RSPB Bird Book.
It was spotted on today’s walk across the golf course before we went on to the beach and then headed for home.
For those of you who prefer the gorse to the birdie there’s lots of it on show in the extra. These are the only two holes on the course (the 12th and 13th) that run parallel to one another.
BVL!
