Cloudless

Nelson this morning (11 a.m.) was cloudless, but you can see that there was still a fair bit of sea mist over on the other side of Tasman Bay. This is a view of 'The Cut' which is the channel that is kept open (dredged) for shipping - I know it doesn't look it but the big container and cruise ships fit through - guided of course. To the left is Haulashore Island and to the right is the end of the 13 kilometre long 'Boulder Bank'

This gives a false impression of the temperature - which was about 10 deg Celsius. It looks like mid-summer when in reality it is still winter. Still, you can immerse yourself in the blue and pretend it's warm.

I love the patterns and colours that the breeze and water movement create in the sea.
