Day 220 of 365 - St Mary's Church in Astley!

Welcome to day 220 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken today in the village of Astley. Set at the edge of the small North Warwickshire village, this is an image of the Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin. A Church dates back on this site for over 700 years. Although the Grade I listed Church you can see today was actually restored from the ruins of a much larger Cathedral like Church between the years 1607 and 1608. The view of this beautiful Church is from the entrance of Astley Castle which is now a Landmark Trust property. I hope to go back soon to get an image of the recently restored Castle.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App ProCamera for iPhone. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.

First of all I used the app Camera+ to edit the image. This was done by applying the Clarity filter and then the Effect called Magic Hour. Next I used the app Camera Awesome to apply the Shadow Opener filter and the Texture called Woven to help make the image look more like a painting. Finally I used the app Alt Photo to apply the effect and border called Technicolor (Three-Strip) Vintage Color to the picture.
