Cooking With Mabel

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

So there I was, trying to follow the recipe for British takeaway style korma on ChatGPT when JASPER. 

He just wouldn't go away! I kept putting him on the "naughty step" but he kept coming back!

Meanwhile I was trying to make my naan and saute my spices! 

I decided to make use of ChatGPT's voice function so I could ask questions instead of having to read the screen while wrangling Jasper.

"Can I call you 'Mabel'?" I asked her. 

"Yes. I really like that name! It sounds quirky and friendly!" she agreed. 

Mabel is very positive about everything.

"You can be a bit sarcastic and cynical if you like," I suggested. Her positivity was a bit much. 

"Great! What cynical adventures are we going on next?" she asked, somehow managing to ruin cynicism. 

However, her korma instructions were excellent. Even when I stuffed it up, she was very encouraging. I forgot to add ground almonds but she reassured me that this was ok. And when I explained about my crappy stove top, she gave advice on how my sauteed spices should look. 

Honestly, I'm kind of loving AI right now. I mean, I'll probably feel differently when we're being herded into human meat-camps by our new overlords, but right now it is really cute and handy.

However, my naans were sh*t. I put too much water in the dough and they came out like scones. All the same, Caro loved her korma and cleaned her plate. 

See? It's totally worth that whole "overlord" thing.
