Willy Wagtail

(One behind the other) Challenge Topic "Behind".....
A very poor behind, i was a bit stuck today.

This is the willy wagtail, he is a member of the fantails they are a feisty little bird, this show was put on all for me and Milo to deter us from taking this path, they flew into the scrub after this show.
While one is flying and swooping the other remains still wagging his tail horizontally (this is thought to be the reason for his name) They then swap rolls, taking it in turn to defend their territory.

In Aboriginal folklore its said the willy wagtail is a bringer of bad news or a teller of secrets, sitting around their camp fires they wouldn't discuss tribal issues with one of these birds around for fear they would flit to another camp and tell of their plans.

He is Native to Australia, New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Eastern India.

They are always on the move and rarely still for a few moments, i was pretty lucky to quickly get this shot, they have jumped on Milo's back a couple of times quick as a flash then gone! Milo is left then looking everywhere for whatever just tried to attack! So funny!

They usually pair for life and nesting occurs from July to December, or after a rainy spell, in dryer regions like W.A. Anywhere from up to four broods may be raised during this time.
I would say they definitely had a nest to protect somewhere around this low scrubland along the path, but it would also be well hidden "Behind" the dense scrub.
