Bumble bee heaven

I don't know what this purple flower is, but bees love it.

I think this little creature is Bombus Pratorum. Not a maker of honey she (I think it's a queen) helps to pollinate a lot of plants.

I've not normally been able to get that close, but there is something about this plant that intoxicates the insects, making them slower to react and less observant.

Fascinated to capture a bees tongue as well, surprisingly long, dipping into the flower.
