No snow now

Canigou is prettier in winter but still impressive in summer as it dominates every view from every town and village for miles around. I am trying to pace myself as the next few days are a mad whirl of street parties, visits and events. The village is busy and despite getting down to the market early, I had to queue patiently for the usual Saturday mussels and brandade de morue at the fish van. The afternoons are too hot for walking so when the partying is over, I may have to get up earlier to walk in the cool of the early morning.
